Can you find me?
Camouflage is used to help animals attack their prey as well as defend themselves from predators. Because of their coloring, many animals blend into their environment, making it difficult for predators to see them. This is called camouflage, and helps many animals avoid being eaten.
Second grade students studied how animals use camouflage to protect themselves and to help them capture their food. Using permanent marker, crayon, and watercolor paints, students created artwork showing their animals in a habitat that helps them to be camouflaged. See if you can find the camouflaged animals in these pictures. Some of the animals you are looking for are: chameleons, owls, snakes, insects, and fish.
