Technology

PS 153 is committed to making sure students are computer literate and prepared to be competitive in this technology-oriented society.  We have two computer labs that provide students with an opportunity to engage in interactive projects and acquire skills based on the NETS-S standards. Projects are usually integrated with Social Studies, Science and/or ELA content.

Some of the skills targeted include:
  • Word processing
  • Keyboarding
  • Digital art
  • Presentation
  • Internet safety and Research
  • Computer programming using Scratch
  • LEGO Robotics
The school also provides teachers with access to three laptop carts. These are used to supplement academic activities in the classroom.
