High schools / Event: June 9-13
The Office of the Arts and Special Projects is field-testing Three-Year Comprehensive Examinations for dance, music, and theater as the culminating assessments for the high school major performing arts sequences. Separate pilot tests for dance, music and theater will be administered at participating schools from Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13 during the regular school day. The periods within this week to be set aside for exam administration are at the discretion of the schools. Students who have completed a minimum of 9 credits (4.5 units) are eligible to participate in this test.

This examination aligns with the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts. More information about these exams will be available in future issues of Principals’ Weekly.
