    September 4, Tuesday SCHOOL SESSIONS BEGIN FOR ALL STUDENTS.

    September 13, 14, Thursday and Friday Rosh Hashanah: School closed

    October 8, Monday, Columbus Day Observed. School closed

    October 17, Wednesday, PSAT/NMSQT exam for grades 10 and 11.

    October 25, Thursday, Parent-Teacher Course Curriculum Meeting, 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.

    October 26, Friday, Parent-Teacher Course Curriculum Meeting, 12:30-2:30 P.M.

    November 6, Tuesday, Election Day. Chancellor’s Conference Day.

    Students will not be in attendance.

    November 12, Monday, Veterans’ Day Observed: School closed.

    November 23, Thursday and November 24, Friday: Thanksgiving Recess

    December 24, Monday through and including January 1, Tuesday,

    Winter Recess (including Christmas and New Year's Day).

    January 2, Wednesday, Students return to school

    January 15 and 16, Tuesday and Wednesday. New York State English Language Arts exam, grades 7 and 8.

    January 21, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day. School closed

    January 22-25, Tuesday through Friday, Regents exams for grades 9-12. Only students taking an exam each day must attend. Regular school sessions for students in grades 7 and 8.

    January 29, Tuesday, fall term ends for high school students. No students will be in attendance. Chancellor’s Conference Day.

    January 30, Wednesday. Spring term begins.

    February 18, Monday through February 22, Friday. Midwinter recess.

    March 10 and 11, Monday and Tuesday. New York State mathematics exam, grades 7 and 8.

    March 21, Friday, Good Friday. School closed.

    April 3, Thursday, Parent-Teacher Conferences 6:00-8:30 P.M.

    April 4, Friday, Parent-Teacher Conferences12:30-2:30 P.M.

    April 21, Monday through April 25, Friday. Spring Recess.

    April 30, Wednesday. New York State science written exam, grade 8.

    May 26, Monday, Memorial Day Observed. School closed.

    June 3 and 4, Tuesday and Wednesday.

    New York State social studies exam, grade 8.

    June 5, Thursday. Chancellor’s Conference Day. Students do not attend.

    June 6, Friday Field Day (Tentative date)

    June 17, Tuesday through Wednesday, June 25 All students attend school in the morning. The Regents examination period starts in the afternoon of June 17. Testing period ends on June 25. Only students taking an exam will attend. There are regular school sessions for 7th and 8th grade.

    June 26, Thursday. Last day of classes. Early dismissal.
