Prinipal's Statement
P.S. 193, The Magnet School of Discovery, has its hallmark "Spotlight on Excellence." The goal of the Magnet effort is to empower children to utilize their natural curiosity and imagination to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. Technology is infused in all curriculum areas. The creative and performing arts serve as a vehicle for self- expression and exploration. Teachers are involved in on-going professional development in Balanced Literacy and Math to enhance their strategies and techniques. Our school community takes pride in working together to provide a nurturing environment where all children can succeed.
