      The Science Program at PS 242 emphasizes hands on learning.  Students on each grade level explore a variety of topics through activities that encourage the use of the scientific method.  Kindergarten through third grade uses the FOSS Science Program.  This program is designed to actively engage students in scientific inquiry.  Students have opportunities to explore materials, make observations, test their ideas, and reflect upon what they have learned. Our Science Program is exciting as well educational!
