Extracurricular

S.W.E.E.T. , school wide educational enrichment time, is scheduled weekly for students in grades 3-5 and in our middle school  grades 6-8.  Students are involved in classes of their choice in visual art, theatre, dance, technology, yearbook, Stock Market Game, book making, math and word games, team sports, yoga and exercise, and publishing.

All students in grade 4 learn to play the recorder.  Students in grades 5-8 can learn to play a band or orchestral instrument.  These students are required to perform in the school’s winter recital and spring music festival.

The National Student Honor Society (ARISTA) is for students in grades 7 and 8 and is based on the cardinal principles of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and community.

Student Council representatives are elected each fall in grades 5-8 to organized activities around fundraising and community support.  We collect donations among our school families for City Harvest and Penny Harvest.  The Middle School Student Cabinet is comprised of student representatives from grades 6-8 who organize and lead school activities and projects to build school spirit.
