Dear Parents,
Welcome! My name is Kathleen Lee and I am the Parent Coordinator at P.S.18. As Parent Coordinator, my primary goal is to encourage participation from parents, and support a meaningful collaboration between you and school personnel. Our shared goal is the success of all our children.
In my role as Parent Coordinator, I conduct parent outreach, help organize events and activities, disseminate information to parents, and perform any number of tasks to help P.S. 18 to be an even better school than it already is. I would like you to view me as the conduit for your easier entry into the school.
Your participation in the school is critical, as you are the children’s first teachers and have the most vested in their success. P.S. 18 has always been a community that works toward the happiness and well-being of our children. I hope to foster openness and communication between the adults that touch our children’s lives, as it is important to their success. If there is anything I can do to help you be active participants in the educational process, please do not hesitate to call or visit me. My door is always open and I always make the time to listen and help. I welcome your ideas and questions, and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. My office is located behind the gym.
