Fourth Grade

 4/5-304

Students discussed what personal goals are and why they are important.  Then, each student brainstormed and wrote down what they wanted to work on this year in school to help them succeed.  Students then picked their most important goal for the year.  Each student received their own football to write their goal and what they are going to do to achieve their goal.

4-327

Our class, 4-327, reflected upon what respect means to us. We celebrate our friendship and respect our differences as we learn, work and play together each and every day.

What is Respect?

By Keziah Kam

People ask me what is respect?
I tell them respect is a lot of things.
Helping, a warm hug, thinking of others.
And doing a lot of other things.
Even if you show a little respect,
they will treat you the same way.
Respect is just like listening to other people.
Being respectful is just like being friendly to a new kid.
Everyday we should show respect to everyone.

Respect

By Arthur Lee

Respect, Respect, Respect
Like listening to a teacher,
But, don’t be rude.
Respect, Respect, Respect
Like helping someone who is hurt
But don’t fight with others
Respect, Respect, Respect
Say thank you and please
But don’t say bad words
Respect, Respect, Respect
Always respect each other!

Respect

By Ashley Coopersmith

Respect feels like a warm hug.
It looks like when my friend gets hurt and I take her to the nurse.
Respect sounds like children laughing from other countries.
It tastes like the pasta my friend’s Dad made for my family.Respect smells like flowers my friend gives to me.

Respect

By Joseph Na

Respect people in the park when someone is hurt

Each person should love one another

Speak up and stop bullying

Peace will take over your heart

Everyone should care for everyone

Create a different life to change who you are

There is going to be no teasing

Having Fun With Skittles

We used Skittles to organize data on a tally and frequency chart.  We then constructed circle graphs and wrote questions based on the data.

4-307
We have just completed writing reports on  endangered animals.  Each student researched an animal and took notes to organize his/her information.  The final essay was put together for the class to enjoy.  The students will then use the reports along with various other articles about endangered animals to write an opinion piece.
