In the computer lab at PS 46, students are busy using software such as, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Paint, KidPix, Kidspiration, Story Book Weaver, iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, Photo Story 3 and Internet Explorer .We also use a variety of web based programs such as Discovery Education Streaming, Learning.com, Renzulli Learning, Big Universe, BrainPop and Starfall. Interdisciplinary projects and inquiry-based activities such as Web Quests are planned to support different areas of the curriculum. Projects are organized to enhance critical thinking skills through collaboration with technology staff, classroom teachers, and specialists. Students use computers as a tool for researching, organizing, analyzing, and presenting information.
