Instructional Support Services (Special Education)

Students in all grades at P.S. 203Q come to the Resource Rooms to receive additional academic support. We work along with our students' teachers in order to complement their efforts toward helping each student master his or her goals and achieve overall academic success.

The skill areas we worked on included: 

Reading comprehension

Vocabulary

Decoding and fluency

Math – computation and problem solving

Writing

In addition, tutorial groups in both math and reading met in the Resource Rooms. These tutorial sessions helped students in grades 3 through 5 prepare for the New York State Tests.
