Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS)

Academic support services are provided to children in grades K through 5 by Ms. Palmieri and Mrs. Gold. The children attend the resource room in order to sharpen their reading, writing and math skills. In the resource room children do many fun language arts and math activitied that are both enjoyable and beneficial.

Skill areas thast are our main focus include: increasing vocabulary and reading comprehension, improving decoding and fluency, improving writing, math and test taking skills. We work along with  our students' teachers and hope that with our assistance and our students' hard work that they will achieve academic success.

We have also worked with students in our reading and math tutorial groups so that they will be better prepared for their classroom work and testing.
