- DRAMA CLUB

WHAT: Kiwanis Club (“Key” club) is the school’s community service organization.  Get involved with other students in doing service for all types of non-profit organizations, charities, and more.  It looks GREAT on your college resume.

WHAT: This is the club where you get to share your viewpoints and opinions on all topics in a free discussion.  Share your philosophies and expand your viewpoints on religion, politics, and everything in between.  It’s the Philosophy Club, called Scholadecuria.

WHAT: Become a part of the team that creates, edits, and maintains Van Buren’s great school website!  Be a reporter, photographer, graphic designer, information gatherer, data enterer, or help in any way the team needs you to!

THE STUDENT ORGANIZATION (S.O.)
ADVISOR: Mr. Greenspan
WHEN: Every Day (except Wed.) all periods except 7&8

WHAT: The Student Organization is the group of students
responsible for running all special events, fundraisers, clubs, and extracurricular activities.  It is the group of students responsible for maintaining the hallway bulletin boards, distributing newsletters and other important information to students.  Recently, a number of students filled out applications and became S.O. representatives, which are the students who support the Student Organization by helping it promote the clubs, fundraisers, events and activities of the school.  If you have a free period or don’t feel like rushing home at the end of your school day, stop into the S.O. (room B72) with your program and ID if you’d like to spend a period or two helping out, or if you just need a place to study or do your HW!
