ARIS
The New York City Department of Education's Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS) provides a single place where our educators can go to find and study important information about your child. Principals and teachers use this information to find out how to best help your child.
A new feature of ARIS is the ARIS Parent Link. This will allow you a secure environment to see the same information that is made available to schools. Only legal parents and guardians will have access. This system will bridge the communication gap between home and school. In the mail you will receive the following information:
1- User Id that is unique to your child. KEEP THIS IN A SECURE PLACE
2- A temporary *password. THIS WILL COME IN A SEPARATE MAILING FOR SECURITY PURPOSES
*Change the password once you log on*
YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING TO ACCESS ARIS:
1- Any computer with Internet access
2- User ID (will receive in the mail)
3- Temporary password (will receive in the mail-change this once you log on)
4- An email address (your own email address)
Sites such as Google and Yahoo offer free email. Sign up.
