Annual Highlights

Lunar New Year

Here at PS139 we are fortunate to have a culturally rich and diverse student body that represents many countries from around the world.  To help us celebrate some of our cultures that make this such a wonderful school,  we planned a celebration of Lunar New Year.  Students were invited to wear Lunar New Year costumes and dress to

wear during a parade.  All students were welcome to wear the

traditional colors of red and gold, or traditional clothing from

their family's culture.

100 Days of School

Think of 100 reasons to celebrate and you get 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!  Over one hundred, "One Hundred" projects line the hallways for this celebration which includes counting a 100 pieces of different kinds of snacks!  The kindergarten are getting the hang og counting by 10 to get to one hundred and this day gives them fun and enjoyable practice. This is certainly a memorable day for our kindergarten and first grade students.
