Special Programs

Research advisors are provided to assist students in preparing and entering research projects in science/mathematics/technology fairs and symposia throughout the city, state, and nation.

Internships are offered to help students develop research skills and increase career opportunities.

QHSSYC shares the use of York College facilities, including the library, gymnasium, pool, theatre, and cafeteria.

Students have the opportunity to enroll in College Now courses. Courses currently offered are Psychology, Sociology, Computer Art, and Political Science.

Advanced Placement courses include English Literature, U.S. History, Spanish, French, Calculus, Biology, and Chemistry.

The music program includes chorus, orchestra, jazz and guitar, and music appreciation.

The art program includes advanced drawing and painting, and portfolio.

The physical education program includes dance, swimming, aerobics, yoga, and team sports.
