We are delighted to have your child in our class this year. With your encouragement, your child will be a part of many exciting and rewarding experiences this academic year.

We have developed a classroom discipline plan which will help every student in making good decisions about their behavior and to learn in a positive, nurturing classroom environment. The plan below outlines our classroom rules, and consequences for appropriate and inappropriate behaviors.

Rules:

1. Follow the instructor's directions.

2. Keep hands, feet, and loose objects to yourself.

3. No swearing or teasing.

4. No yelling or screaming.

5. Do not leave the room without permission.

Consequences:

First time a student breaks a rule: Warning

Second time: 2nd Warning

Third time: 5 minutes working away from the group

Fourth time: 10 minutes working away from the group and write a letter home or a phone call

Severe Cause: Student removal, send to the dean’s office
