Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am the classroom teacher for the students of class 4-402. Following are several of my expectations for the students of class 4-402:
-
Academic and social expectations are set very high for all students from day one.
- Students need to keep up with their school as young scholars.
- Students are expected to show evidence of maturity level as role models for the entire school.
- Students need to wear their uniforms on a daily basis and show up to my class every day on time. If there is an emergency, a signed note is necessary on the day the students returns to school.
- It is mandatory for homework to be done every night it is assigned and that it is handed in on time the following day. It is the only way for me to keep track on how each student is doing academically. If students are having a hard time it allows me to plan my lessons to meet the needs of every child; the appropriate intervention will be administered as needed.
I need your ongoing assistance and cooperation to make our school year effective and smooth. Throughout the year you are invited to join our class for writing celebrations, trips, theatre productions, holiday feasts, and conferences. Notes will be sent home in advance to inform you of the dates and times. Please do your best to attend. Remember, "It takes a village to raise a child," and the children need you as well as their teachers to believe in them.
Throughout the school year I will attempt to contact all of my students’ sole guardians for good and bad reports, as it is necessary. Please attend all parent-teacher conferences and PTA meetings. They are wonderful opportunities for you to ask questions, network with other parents, and be aware of any changes that might occur or need to take place with your child and your child’s education.
I look forward to a positive and wonderful working relationship with you and your child this school year.
Sincerely,
Ms. Bibi Yacoob
