PS 176 currently has partnerships with Adelphi University and York College. Each semester students from both universities are student observers and student teachers in our school. The students work together with the teachers to prepare to be future educators.
For the past 3 years, PS 176 has collaborated with the Early Exposure to Tennis Program at Roy Wilkins Park. The students who participate in the program go to Roy Wilkins Park and participate in weekly tennis lessons.
Our school has developed partnerships with Target and Walmart.Walmart has donated $1000 dollars for our art program to purchase supplies and fund school wide art activities. Our school has received multiple grants from Target to fund Family Reading Nights, provide students with books and support their literacy development.
Our parent coordinator, Mrs. Barksdale coordinates monthly trips to see Broadway shows for parents and students to enjoy.
In addition, the school’s performing arts program performs at Queen’s General Hospital, St. Albans Veterans Hospital, and the Civic Association. Our performing arts program is available to perform at any community event. Please contact Mrs. Arnold if you are interested.
