Library & Media Services

Our school library was recently renovated thanks to a grant from Capital One Bank (Pics coming soon).  Our librarian Ms. Laga works with our staff and students to ensure that literacy is at the center of learning.  Parents and community members are  welcome to visit our school library.  Please contact the main office to schedule an appointment. 

In addition to our school library, we encourage families to visit the local public library.  Students should be reading on a daily basis at home.  The public library has thousands of books in different genres.   Visit http://www.queenslibrary.org/ for additional information. 

About Ms. Laga

Ms. Laga has been a member of the P.S. 127 faculty since 1993.  She has worked with our students as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, science cluster teacher, and for the past six years as a Library Media Specialist.  Ms. Laga holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Adelphi University as well as a Master's Degree in Library Media Science from Syracuse University.  She enjoys inspiring our students to develop a love for literature while offering the students an opportunity to explore and borrow various books from our school library.  Ms. Laga also enjoys spending family time with her husband and three teenage children.
