I.S. 235Q School Rules and Regulations
  1. Students must come to school on time, have all necessary supplies and be ready to begin work when the bell rings.
  2. Respect each other, and each other's property
  3. Respect our dress code. Students must wear their uniform everyday
  4. Students must have the teacher's permission and a pass when leaving the classroom during class time.
  5. When walking in the hall, students must stay on their right.
  6. ABSOLUTELY NO GUM CHEWING! We have a ZERO TOLERANCE FOR GUM. Students are not allowed to bring food, candy, chewing gum or drinks to class.
  7. I-Pods, CD players, Walkmans, radios, beepers, cellular phones, PSPs and/or other electronic equipment are to be turned OFF and kept inside the backpack once students have entered the school building. They are not to be exposed at anytime during school hours. The school will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  8. Any sharp objects or materials that can be considered dangerous may not be brought to school (such as knives, laser pointers, lighters, matches, toy guns etc.)
  9. It is a student's responsibility to complete all assignments even when he/she has been absent.

    Dress Code

    As a result of a unanimous parent vote. Students are expected to wear a school uniform EVERYDAY.

    For boys; white shirt, dark blue or black tie, dark blue or black pants and black shoes:

    For girls: white blouse, dark blue or black pants and black shoes.

    Attendance

    Attendance is very important. If your child is absent, please send an absence note. The absence note must contain the child's name, class, date and reason for absence. The absence note must be signed by a parent or guardian.


    Homework

    Homework is very important and is given daily. Please provide your child with a quiet area to study and do his/her homework. Any missed homework must be made up immediately. It is a good idea for your child to have a telephone number of another student in his/her class, so that he/she may call to get any missed homework.
