PS 41 is proud of it's school band program, directed by Ms. Teresa Esposito. Fourth and Fifth grade students participate in this two year program. Students' learn to read music and with Ms. Esposito choose an instrument that they agree is well suited for the student.
In addition, PS 41's "Singing Tigers" under the direction of Ms. Angela Mascia, perform songs for various events at PS 41. Students are exposed to varied genres of music and singing. The "Singing Tigers" have performed a holiday concert for all students in December 2007; have welcomed our author of the day, Steven Kroll; sang their hears out at Barnes and Noble fundraising night; and officially opened the new auditorium by cutting the ribbon and performing several of their most popular songs!
Both band and chorus look forward to many more joyful performances!
