Our Mission

MAELS was founded on an understanding and encouragement of the diverse learning needs and styles of all students.  We are committed to providing a learning environment which is conducive to developing the unique intellectual, social, physical and emotional potential of each child. An essential component of our vision rests in our belief that we must be responsive to the unique learning style of every child.  We believe that all students can learn when instruction is responsive to the variety of intelligences student bring to the classroom.  The goal of our dedicated faculty is to maximize the learning experience through instruction tailored to each student’s needs.  Equal emphasis on character and academics, a caring and dedicated team of teachers in a small setting, “hands-on” instruction, Outward Bound adventure, and Expeditionary Learning give our students the opportunity to move deeper into the curriculum at every level.
