New Dorp High School honored the late John D’Amato by naming the school’s new Law and Business Center after him. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new John D’Amato Center for Law & Business are Borough President James Molinaro; Terry D’Amato, the late Mr. D’Amato’s wife; John Caltabianco; Mark and Steve D’Amato, Mr. D’Amato’s children; Robert Sullivan; Dina Zoleo, assistant principal at New Dorp; attorney Robert Scamardella, partially hidden, one of D’Amato’s former law partners; and Deirdre DeAngelis, Principal of New Dorp.
