The Office of School Health (OSH) is a joint program of the New York City Department of Education and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). OSH provides health services and preventive services to DOE students.

In most cases, services are provided directly through schools.
General Programs and Services
OSH also provides some general programs and services, such as health insurance for students in City public schools and the Automated External Defibrillator/Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (AED/CPR) Program which requires all New York City Public Schools have at least one operable AED and certified trained staff volunteers to respond to medical emergencies.
