"Paint the World," Bryan Brager, Fifth Grade, PS 36

Paint the World

Start out small, you've got to paint the whole world
Paint the pond ocean blue and the sun the color of midnight stars
You use your mind and read a book, you just finished 10 towns
Now paint the trees hazel brown and the birds as black as fuel
Use your mind and read a book and you just finished a natural crown
So go on, paint the world and use your head
But if you want to paint the world, remember to use your imagination
Oh wait,I forgot the people
I'll stop and let you take your turn
and there you go
You can paint the world your own
