"Dandelions," Hayley Fier, Second Grade, PS 255K

Little suns growing,
taking the chance they won't
get stepped on,
green twigs nearby.
 
Special, petals look like jagged
lion's teeth,
making a yellow  bouquet,
as soon as winter comes
the petals droop
and go away.
