The Old Race Car
by: Shaina DeHoyos

The old racecar groaned into gear wondering if he could still race.
He dreamed of the days when he was the one who always set the pace.
But those days were long ago when he was young and strong.
Every race he did win and victory was his song.
But now that he was old and weak racing could no longer be.
So a new life he began and became a yellow taxi.

Dream
by:  Vanessa Castillo

I had a dream that I could fly.
I flew to the buildings that reached the sky.
I flew over my house and saw a stream.
Then I remembered that it was just a dream.
