My name is Mattie Washington and the teacher I want to thank is Monica Bertty. She is a fifth grade special education teacher at PS 268 located in Brooklyn.
I have had two children graduate from this school. I have had 6 foster children who have attended this school, but never have come across a fine teacher such as Monica Bertty. These are all her attributes:
1. She encourages--lifts up students confidence and hope.
2. She is considerate---cares for students feelings other than herself.
3. She is genuine---creates a real and honest atmosphere towards students' learning abilities.
4. She is concerned--- She call students' parents if student is not performing well or missing homework
I could go on and on but because of Mrs. Monica Bertty's love for the students, she has demonstrated a change in my daughter's life (Cashmir Washington).
