My name is Lenora McInnis-White. I am 42 years old. I graduated from Boys and Girls H.S. in 1983. My teacher that I am thankful for is Mrs. Sondra Davis. She was my first and second grade teacher back at P.S. 56 in Brooklyn. Mrs. Davis has been an inspiration to my entire family. She taught my two nieces and myself. One of my nieces is a lead teacher in district 21 and is currently seeking an assistant principal position. My other niece is a guidance counselor at Transit Tech H.S. I am currently a school secretary at P.S. 91 in Brooklyn. Mrs. Davis inspired us all. She made home visits when necessary and made sure that her students were ready for school. Mrs. Davis, who now works at MS 113K, even shared her family with us and we felt like we were in her family. I always tell my friends and even my children about the experiences Mrs. Davis exposed me to.
Thank you Mrs. Davis! There should be more teachers like you.
