I want to thank Mrs. Jean Fazioli. She was my living environment teacher at my junior high school, Edward Bleeker JHS 185, in Flushing, Queens. She was my teacher in 9th grade from 2004-2005. Many of my teachers were great, but the one that I think is the most influential to me would be Mrs. Fazioli. She taught me a lot about science. Since I was little I could remember hating science, it was never one of my favorite subjects. When I had her as a science teacher, I thought to myself, this is just another teacher that’s trying to like science. Mrs. Fazioli was different than all my other teachers because she didn’t just try to make you like it but also she tried to make you understand it.
Mrs. Fazioli was such a great teacher because she made sure that everyone understood what she was teaching. She also had such a great way of explaining all the different lessons we had. Her class was one of the only classes that my classmates and myself would go to in a hurry. It was such a thrill to be in that classroom. All my classmates loved her and enjoyed her class. She prepared us all for the regents by giving us test, quizzes, and labs. She pushed us to the limit and made sure we were all doing what we were supposed to do to pass the class and the regents. She gave a lot of notes during class that your hand would hurt after class, but that was how she helped prepare you for the regents. After I graduated I realized that Mrs. Fazioli had changed the way I felt about science. Towards the end of my year there I started to realize maybe science wasn’t such a bad subject.
Now that I’m a senior in high school I’m thinking of majoring in a field of science. Mrs. Fazioli taught me to like science and now because of her I appreciate science. She helped me understand science and because of that I love science now. I thank her for influencing me in the past and affecting my future in college and beyond. My success in science is all owed to her and her way of teaching and helping every student of hers to achieve anything they want to. Thank You, Mrs. Fazioli for all your hard work and dedication to helping all your student to do there very BEST!!
