Mrs. Fontanella, Physics Teacher, Francis Lewis High School

My name is Adrian Rangl and I attend Francis Lewis High School(graduating class of 2008) and I would like to thank Mrs. Fontanella for teaching me physics in the 11th grade. She was one of the few teachers who seemed like she enjoyed what she was teaching and knew exactly what to do with her excellent organization and lesson plans. You could easily relate to her explanations by taking down the excellent notes that she provided which made me ultimately fall in love with the subject of physics. She was willing to talk to her students one on one and set up tutoring time for students who needed extra help. She was very hard working at her job and has great knowledge of her field. Mrs. Fontanella is very easy to relate to and ultimately made me decide that physics is a subject that many people have trouble with and would be great to continue to study in college. She sparked my interest and I even thought that physics would be a good subject to teach to students one day unlike before. Mrs. Fontanella showed extreme care for her students and wanted everybody to succeed. She even wanted to attend my mom's funeral during the hard times that I faced which showed her care for me. Her expectations of me were very high which motivated me to continue to do well in life and to succeed. I am extremely glad that I had Mrs. Fontanella as a teacher and role model in my life.
