We would like to show our appreciation for our daughter's drama teacher, Ms. Adrienne Gelfand, at Stephen A. Halsey Junior High School (JHS 157Q).
Ms. Gelfand has been a true source of support, encouragement, and enrichment for Molly, who started 6th grade with a childish notion of becoming an actor, but who will be entering high school armed with the skills, the talent, and the understanding of what being an actor takes--all thanks to the hard work and dedication of Ms. Gelfand.
Through drama, Ms. Gelfand has enriched the entire school community with peformances, with her focus on global issues, and just by being an all-around wonderful teacher. She is hands-on and obviously cares about her students.
Ms. Gelfand has been a godsend to Molly's progression from youth to adolescent; we have no doubt that when Molly accepts her Oscar for Best Actress, that Adrienne Gelfand will be one of the top three people she thanks!
