I want to express my thanks and gratitude to my Global History teacher, Giacomo Grosso. I am a freshman student in the New Dorp High School Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology House and I am extremely proud to know that I will have Mr. Grosso as my teacher through Sophmore year. I just wish it could be longer.
Mr. Grosso is in charge of the model building club of which I am a member. He is also the Saturday Academy Military History teacher of which I was a student. I had the pleasure of attending his Saturday classes which were very interesting and informative and I will definitely participate in his Saturday continuing-education classes as they are offered.
On a personal note, Mr. Grosso is an excellent mentor and teacher. He is very understanding and patient. He makes learning fun and exciting and he has been very instrumental in my continued appreciation for learning history. His methods of teaching are very powerful and have helped me to understand history, how history has affected the present day, and how history can affect the future.
Mr. Grosso, thank you for being my mentor and teacher. I salute you.
