I would like to thank Gwendolyn LeSesne, a math teacher, and Viola Hargrave, an English teacher, from JHS 265 in Brooklyn.
I attended JHS 265 from 1972-1974 and they had a profound influence on my life. I would love to thank them for being role models, mentors, critics, and most of all teachers who cared.
After graduating from 265, I went to Brooklyn Tech and then to Baruch College -- where I earned 2 degrees and then on to Columbia University -- ultimately earning a doctorate degree. Congratulations to the NYC Department of Education for making me a model citizen.
