Carrie Huggins, English Teacher, Robert F. Kennedy High School

I have met many people throughout my four years at Robert F.  Kennedy High School who have given me and taught me a lot. Even with those people in mind, there was one teacher who came into my life and without a doubt changed me forever. There were times when I had no one to fall back on, but this teacher, my best friend, was always and is always there for me when I need someone to lean on. She was my English teacher for three years, Ms. Carrie Huggins. She helped me become the person I am today. The one quality that I found most important was that she always made time to listen to me when I had nowhere else to turn.

One important thing that Ms. Huggins has taught me is that I should always stick to what I believe no matter what other people might say. Along with that, she has given me the confidence that regardless of what situation arises in my life, I will flourish and succeed. She is the one person who keeps my hopes alive and continues to make me smile. She has shown me the true meaning of friendship and has taught me lessons both inside and outside of the classroom that will continue to follow me. Throughout high school, I achieved things that I never thought I could. Ms. Huggins is the reason I have accomplished so much.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for being such a great and important influence in my life. Carrie Huggins truly has been a phenomenal inspiration and a role model to many students, including myself.
