Carolyn Malone is a teacher who exemplifies all that is good about our educational system. Year after year, she ensures that kindergarteners at PS 38 begin their school career in an environment where they feel safe, loved and believed in. She instills confidence in students who lack it and provides structure and balance for those who need it. She invests time and energy into the parents of the children she teaches-- many of whom were taught by her at this same school. She embodies warmth and nurturing and provides the highest quality of instruction to each of her students. My daughter was blessed to have been in her class and our family is now blessed to call her a friend-- a sentiment shared by many of the families of her former students. I hope that our school will be fortunate enough to have her as a teacher and mentor for some time to come.
