The person who has a strong positive impact on my life, helps me through everything, and is very special to me is my guidance counselor, Mr. Michael Padmore. Although he doesn't sit in a class room and write on a chalkboard for 32 students, he's still a teacher. He's always there to help with my school work, guide me in the right direction, or talk me through any personal problems I have. Mr. Padmore has been my guidance counselor since my freshman year in New Dorp High School and has never let me down. I'm now in my junior year and he's still an amazing guidance counselor. At times he can be really stern and strict especially when it comes to my work, but he's just continuing to push me in the right direction to make sure I don't make any mistakes. Not only is he my guidance counselor but he's also like my best friend. I feel comfortable expressing my problems with him because I know he'll always have a good answer to help me out. I've also seen him work with other students and they always have good things to say about him. He's a great person and I'm very thankful to have him as my guidance counselor.
So, I just want to give a huge thank you to Mr. Padmore for always being there for me, always helping me, and of course always putting up with me!
