Several PS130 students responded to a very special memo sent
specifically to them from me. It informed them about the "Thank A Teacher"
Campaign.
It was so very touching to see their beautiful proud smiles as each one
submitted their letter to me. Their words were lovingly written on
looseleaf paper or torn pages from their spiral notebooks complete with some
erasures, mispelled words, supporting details and drawings. Their messages
about their teachers come straight from their hearts.
Enjoy the Read!!!

My teacher is Ms. Hirashima. She teaches me math and reading. She
teaches fourth graders. I am happy that she teaches me because she is a
very fun teacher and she lets us come upstairs to have lunch. Also, she
lets us have a prize every Monday.
Ms. Hirashima is a very strict teacher because she has a card changer.
Who ever is bad will change their cards. She also keeps track on how their
behavior is going on. Who ever gets all green on the whole chart will come
upstairs to have McDonalds.
Ms. Hirashima cares about us because one time when my stomach was
hurting me and she asked me, "Do you want to go to the nurse or call your
mom?" Also, when people are running up and down the stairs she will warn
them to not do that.
The main thing about Ms. Hirashima is the best because she's a
responsible person of all and she speaks clear so I can understand.

I like Ms. Desa better because she corrects my mistakes. She is fun
when we behave in the classroom and do our work. We color and do special
things with my teacher Ms. Desa. She teaches me things like multiply or
division even plus and take away. That's why I like Ms.Desa better or much
better.

I am writing about my second grade teacher, Ms. Free. When I first got
in her class. I was shy and quiet, but I done my work regard less. If I was
slow in one area, she would help me, and as for the shyness, I even got over
that issue too.
Ms. Free as a person, she was witty, friendly and a happy-go-lucky
person, and any child would love to be in her class.

I love my second grade teacher (Ms. Free) because she taught us
multiplication. We had breakthrough (BreakThough to Learning Program)
before, now we have something else. She did the opposite of wha what the
teacher does. She put the words on the word wall. We didn't have to write
it in our ELA book.
