Ms. Rooney was my 7th grade English Teacher at IS 70 in Manhattan. I always used to think English was not my strong subject, but she was such a fantastic teacher that she made me think English was fun and important. I learned so much about writing in that year; it is incredible to think about. I remember her lessons all the time (Ms. Rooney comma the English teacher comma went on vacation). And now I am an assistant principal in the NYC public School System in charge of the English Department! Thanks Ms. Rooney!
