Mr. Steven Scharf is the most intelligent and the most friendly Physics teacher I have ever met. Although many people complain about his college style of teaching, I think otherwise. His style of teaching makes our learning more independent, which is what college is about; his sense of humor makes the class much more interesting.
I admire not only his knowledge in his field, but also his integrity, his courage to go against the injustices when others have given in. When two girls came to me for help with their personal issues, I wasn't really sure what to do, so I turned to Mr. Scharf. Just as I expected, he cordially comforted them, and gave them valuable advices. Another time, a girl lost her wallet; Mr. Scharf generously gave her money to buy lunch, without thinking or asking if the girl would pay him back the money.
I thank Mr. Scharf for caring about every single one of his students, teaching us how to be individuals with integrity, and making us the best physics students that we can be.
