There have been a lot of teachers that have inspired me to move on in life and move on to finish high school and go to college. Not all teachers you will come across will be nice or leave such an impact on you but when you get a teacher who teaches you so well its hard to let go of them by the time the year is up. A teacher that I would like to say thank you too is my freshman year english teacher , Mrs . Schonwetter. Although I was only with her for 40 minutes each day , she was able to lay a foundation for me and everyone in my class. She taught me things that stuck with me throughout high school and they will stick with me through out life.
Mrs. Schonwetter has defiantly been one of the best teachers I have ever had , she was able to connect with me and the others in my class and not many teachers these days can do that. She wasn’t one of those teachers that just put notes on the board and expected you to copy them until the period was over, no she was different. If I ever became a teacher I don’t think I would be able to live up to her standards. She had a great personality, she was nice and kind, very understanding, and had a great sense of humor. She kept her students in her class interested in what was going on .
This January I take the English Regents , and ever since freshman year I have been preparing for this. Freshman year for me was the most important, and without a good english teacher to lead you on the right track, sophomore and junior year would have been very hard. Mrs . Schonwetter has opened up a lot of doors for me and gave me the knowledge I needed to pass the Regents. I cannot thank her enough for how much she helped me. Not only freshman year but in the future as well .
