One teacher who has influenced me greatly is Dr. Tzall, my AP Biology teacher. I've always dreamed of becoming a doctor. However, while taking Biology during freshmen year, I struggled and thought that my dream was shattered. I remember walking into Dr. Tzall's class on the first day of school anticipating only the worst. But, after I met her, I felt so relieved.
I have to thank Dr. Tzall for reviving my interest and my love of Biology. She was always so kind and made sure that we all understood everything that she was explaining before moving on to a new topic. She was so considerate. Whenever we all seemed tired, she gave us breaks and let us relax for a while. I remember when she would make us stretch to wake us up. Dr. Tzall was always optimistic about everything. She always smiled. I loved to listen to all of her stories about her previous travels.
When a teacher is enthusiastic and encouraging, it's so much easier to persuade yourself to study and do well. Dr. Tzall's support and enthusiasm paved the way to my doing well in her class and on the AP exam. She has the biggest hand in revitalizing my interest in Biology.
