Gotham Graduates Give Back Award
Are you a graduate of New York City public schools who will be teaching at the Department of Education for the first time this year? If so, we want to celebrate your talent and honor your commitment to teaching in our community.
Through the Gotham Graduates Give Back Award, the NYC Department of Education (DOE) will recognize a select group of up to 25 new recruits who are graduates of the New York City public school system, are committed to giving back to New York City public schools and students, and want to help us raise the profile of teaching in New York City. In addition to being featured in recruitment materials and assisting in efforts to raise the profile of teaching locally, each award winner will receive a $1,000 stipend at the start of the school year.
This is a highly competitive award that celebrates our rich pool of homegrown talent who serve as role models for current students in our public schools.
