Gotham Graduates Give Back Award
Are you a graduate of New York City public schools who will be teaching at the Department of Education for the first time? If so, we want to celebrate your talent and honor your commitment to teaching in our community.
The NYC Department of Education will recognize a select group of new recruits who are graduates of the New York City public school system, share our commitment to raising student achievement, and who want to help us raise the profile of teaching in New York City. In addition to being featured in recruitment materials and assisting in efforts to raise the profile of teaching locally, each award winner will receive a stipend at the start of the school year.
This is a highly competitive award that celebrates our rich pool of homegrown talent and will provide role models for current students in the public schools. Award applications will be evaluated and preliminary winners will be identified on a rolling basis.
