The Department of Education and the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) are looking for volunteer principals and teachers to participate in a two-year research study to help develop fair, accurate, and useful guides to what really makes effective teaching. The Measures of Effective Teaching study is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is premised on the principle that good teaching is multi-dimensional and that teachers and their schools need consistent and reliable information in order to identify and support good teaching.If you are interested in participating or would like to submit your consent, please email effectiveteaching@schools.nyc.gov.Overview for Teachers: MET WANTS YOU!Please download this document and place a copy in the mailbox of all eligible teachers.
