This year, for the first time, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) created teacher growth scores for grades 4-8 math and ELA teachers, and school-level growth scores for elementary and middle schools. These scores should be used to support instructional improvement and as one source of information in teacher tenure decision-making.
Reports will be distributed to all all principals and teachers in fall 2012. Teachers and principals can request their reports here.
