Bus Delay Information
|
If schools are open, buses should be operating.
Information about a delay of a particular bus can be provided by the Office of Pupil Transportation.
Information is also available on the OPT website at www.opt-osfns.org.

Bus Driver and Escort Responsibilities
|
The driver and escort are responsible for monitoring pupil behavior on the bus. The escort will be responsible for administration of first aid in emergency situations. The escort is required to assist the child from the bus to the front door of the school.

|
Disabled students receive yellow school bus transportation according to their needs.

Yellow Bus Driver Selection
|
Every new bus driver is subject to an extensive approval process, medical examination, three letters of reference, abstract of driving record/CDL driver's license, pre-employment drug test, physical performance examination, fingerprinting process, and specialized training.

Yellow School Bus Eligibility
|
General education school bus service is available to eligible students in grades K through 6 only. Eligible students in grades 7-12 are expected to use public transportation; only in unique circumstances will yellow school bus service be provided to this group.
