The Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS) began coming online at the end of September 2007 for the first set of users. A first-of-its-kind data management system, ARIS will collect and analyze information about student academic performance to help educators and parents make smart decisions that improve the academic progress of New York City students and schools.

As it becomes available to schools over the course of the school year ARIS will provide educators with access to the Assessment Vendor System, Class Lists, Student Profiles, Progress Reports, the Data Analyzer, and other innovative functions. ARIS users will also enjoy the advantages of using a single user name and password to access data from various systems.

The Knowledge Management Platform will allow users to link data and reports by enabling resource sharing, whether instructional or organizational, targeted to meet the needs of each and every New York City student.

Professional Collaboration, a networking feature, ties users in different districts together, giving users the opportunity to share, validate, and provide feedback on their thoughts and ideas.
