The District Comprehensive Educational Plan (DCEP) is developed based on the requirements detailed in Chancellor’s Regulation A-655
by the District Leadership Team (DLT). The DLT membership is made up of representatives from administrative and staff unions and organizations; parent and parent/teacher associations; and Title I Committees or Advisory Councils. DLTs develop a DCEP each year, by updating the previous year’s annual goals, district priorities and strategies based on the most current data; and district and school needs and accountability statuses. The District Parent Involvement Policy (DPIP), District 100.11 Plan, and Biennial Evaluation are also included.
The New York City Department of Education has created a website called iPlan
that schools use to develop, update, and keep track of their annual comprehensive educational plan
