Green Curriculum

Sustainability is a very broad topic that can be incorporated into many existing units required in the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and literacy scope and sequence for all grades and there are many publicly available curriculum resources.

SUPPLEMENTAL GREEN CURRICULUM RESOURCES FOR GRADES 4, 5 AND 6

Below are preliminary list of supplemental green curriculum resources gathered for limited units in STEM scope and sequence for grades 4 through 6. These resources are gathered from US Environmental Protection Agency, US Department of Energy, US Fish and Wildlife Service, New York State Energy Research and Development Agency, New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, MillionTreesNYC, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Teachers College and University of California San Diego. Supplemental Green Curriculum resources will be updated regularly and expanded to other grades in the future.
