NYC DOE is announcing an energy efficiency art contest amongst all schools and all grade levels for thirteen pieces of original art work, created by students based on promoting energy efficiency in the schools. Students are encouraged to submit original art that demonstrated ways the school can reduce energy consumption. A twelve month calendar will be produced with a winner for each month of the year and a Grand Prize winner for the calendar cover.
The final art work will be selected based on the design's message, subject relevance, school's commitment to implement the measure and artistic originality.Prizes include digital camera, NOOK/ Kindle, iPad or laptop. We thank DCAS Division of Energy Management for funding the prizes for the competition.
All entries should be submitted on a 9 x 11.5 paper to
